I have Credit Issues

      Your credit standing doesn’t have to be a riddle. While there are several factors to take into account and certain guidelines to follow, once you know these you can make informed choices on how to best use your credit to open up financial possibilities for yourself.
      One you complete the steps below, uou should be able to build a strong credit history and correct any inaccuracies that appear on your credit so you can move forward with your goals and your dreams.
      You are entitled to a free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting company. You can request your your free credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com.
Steps you can take to begin building a strong Credit History:
1. Listen to the webinar “Understanding Credit”
2. Ask your contact at Samaritan House for the bookletsUsing Credit Wisely” or “Your Credit Report”  (you can download and print the BALANCE copy) 
3. Take the BalanceTrack Module(s) “The World of Credit Reports” and “Credit Matters” (sign in required) 
4. Read the information in the Toolkit “Credit Reports and Scores” 
5. Read the article “Understanding Credit Score Rating and Ranges
